Drove the 10 minutes roundabout road to where my last 'furthest run' ended and ran the continuation of the grassy path from there. Turned back after 30 minutes to be sure I'd be back home before dark.
Found the start of the Kerkepad which I'll probably take next time out that way and do a figure of 8 loop between Polsbroekerdam and Cabauw.

3 short runs with the dog around the complex. Also had a walk on the beach in the afternoon but as it was warm and busy kept Joep on the lead and didn't run. Saw a hedgehog scuttling off into the woods on our last (almost dark) run.

Drove along to a local scenic spot on the river Lek to try out a walk I'd read about there. Some of the path wasn't very suitable for running on with big stones making up the dijk, but the grass and sandy bits were great. Plenty of water for Joep to cool off in too.

Minimalist, minimalister
22 min Short run this mornng with a pair of rubber swimshoes I remembered I had in a bag with my swimming stuff. Since starting listening to the RunBarefotGirl podcasts I've been thinking (and doing) more about barefoot/minmalist running. The Vibrams are great at protecting my footsoles but worming my toes in and out of them annoys me. What I really want are ankle socks with rubber soles. Thes shoes are a bit too narrow in the toe so I'm modifying them...
