Met a sprig of spaniels at the start of our crossing of the Soesterduinen (Welsh springers apparantly but I thought they were a bit on the small and heavy side myself...). At a distance I thought they were kooijkers as they are about the same size and colour.
Later came across another young King Charles spaniel.
