Picked up Sproet and set out in the last of the afternoon light.  Dropped the dog back off at his house when I had about 8k on the Garmin and then did the last couple of k on my own around the edge of the Wilhelminapark.

Sproet in Doorn

Picked up Sproet from the kennels in Zeist this afternoon and went for a run with him in the woods in Doorn before delivering him home.  Good to run on the hilly paths through the fields and forest where I used to walk almost ever day.  Running didn't go so well - the first 10 minutes went well, after that my lungs seemed to decide they weren't co-operating and I had to stop frequently to get my breath.  Good to see Sproet enjoying interacting with the various dogs we met.  The second one is a Goldiedoodle...

Out round Bloeyendaal then back into town to run round the streets enjoying the 'looking through lit windows' time.  I love all the little glimpses of a huge variety of domestic lives this time of day offers.  As there is seldom much in the way of sunset on these dark November afternoons this is my alternative motivation for getting out and running.
