Decided to go out as a last minute decision before dark as the howling wind made it look colder outside than it actually was and I was considering postponing.  However I realised I'd be even less likely to want to go out the next morning if it was grey and miserable.  Used my hotwater-in-my-wee-drinkbottles technique for the first time this season.  The two tiny patches of warmth in the small of my back make heading out the door more bearable somehow.

Saw a runner in front of me at one point and tried to catch up with him.  Which wasn't as easy as I thought it looked at first and I only succeeded when he stopped to walk for a bit.

De Meern

(Too) long run from De Meern to Gouda.  Blister on my left big toe (I never get blisters...) which I stopped to burst at one point.  Feet and calves were hot and tired when I got home so ate my soup and bread with my legs in the freezing canal to help them recover.
