Drove out to Carin's parents' house, which is nearest to the Sandmotor, at first light.  Lots of dramatic dark clouds and wind.  Didn't see another soul which is a treat in itself in this overpopulated country.  Interesting to see the sand shelves along the waterline and the observation tower (shame you can't climb it) for the scientific instruments to measure the changes in the distribution of the sand. Only negative note was that I lost my favourite hair clasp at one point. Think I'll go out there again tomorrow.  Last (messy) photo is of the 6 pack of greyhounds belonging to Carin's family which I saw ahead of me on the home stretch.
