Yasso 800s in Goudse Hout

17.78k
Start 16.52
Predicted marathon time now 4:50:20.  Fair bit of wind in some bits and lots of turns.  Fastest was 4:35 (#7), slowest 5:04 (#4).  Still glad just to be able to complete the workout with my lungs functioning easily. It would be good if my legs could now learn to pick the speed back up again.

BF 25 & 3+1x10

18.78k
Start 6.43

Read/heard somewhere about the favourite training session of a fast runner.  10 x repeats with 3 minutes fast and 1 minute rest in between, so decided to give this a go during my longish run this morning.

BF 24 - Yoga + 2k

2k
Start 19.30
Did 2 time sections on the highest hill setting.  Went fine but afterwards felt a tiny twinge in my knee, maybe I should build the hilly stuff up more gradually.  Showered then joined the virtual yoga class which is really just a lot of stretching and balancing with a wee lie doon at the end.

No drugs

9.40k
Start 17.00

Ran back from the Hornbach in Nieuwekerk.  Forgot to take my inhalor with me to take before the run but decided to try it anyway.  Bit of a problem round the 3k but not as bad as in Den Haag during the half marathon.  Kept going slowly and towards the end was even able to speed up a bit.  Another sign that the new medicine is having effect.

April Showers

25.16k
Start 6.00

Waited for a shower to pass before I went out the door.  Caught a few short (hail) showers during the run but also longish periods with sunshine. My gloves got wet and my hands were freezing for the last few k and so sore when I got in that I couldn't get anything unfastened for the first few minutes.  Now watching the London Marathon.

New Asthma drugs

17.11k
Start 19.21

First time in months (more than a year..?) that I've run (more) easily and significantly faster.  Today didn't do the 800s but 4 (and a half) mile repeats.  If I make the calculations as if I had done 800s (which theoretically should have been even faster but I didn't incorporate that) I now come out at a predicted marathon time of 4:51, which is a half hour faster than yesterday! I hardly dare to believe it but it seems that this new medicine (which the doctor said was actually an older one that isn't used so often) is working for me.
