Joep and I went for a slow but steady jaunt over to the Soesterduinen and back.
Due to last night's torrential rain there was plenty of water for him to drink on the way. This was definitely a long rather than a tempo run, no sprints, plenty of stops to take photos, throw sticks for the dog and so on. My average speed dropped about half a minute per km according to the figures but that was the general idea. 
Joep is a perfect running companion, I don't have to shout for him to come back from some hunting trip of his own, he stays beside me all the way and is well-mannered when we meet other dogs and people.
