5 day total 347

3 runs of more than 100 minutes each means I'm easily ahead of schedule for the start of this last month of the year. Still no absolute certainty that I'll make it though... I'm just over one day ahead of things - it only needs a bit of flu or some seriously miserable weather to fall behind again. I'll keep trying to get as long runs in as possible whilst the going is still good.

  1. Hai Elma,

Thanks for visiting my blog, how did you found me?

I'm doing 6K in Soest, I've just started training seriously for a half marathon (doing Utrecht in April) and the Sylvestercross is for fun: great way to close the running year.

I'm guessing we live very close to each other. Are you living in Baarn, Soest or Eemdijk?

Love your plan of running a marathon in every county in Holland. About Groningen: if I'm correct there's a marathon each year in Ameland but don't know if that's Groningen or Friesland.

  2. I don't recall exactly how I came across your blog, I was just clicking through on links on various other runners blogs and came across yours among the majority of American offerings.
I live in Soest and Utrecht and do a lot of my running on the Soesterduinen so the Sylvesterloop will be very much home ground for me.
Have you signed up for Utrecht already? If not I wouldn't recommend it really. The atmosphere in Rotterdam is much better if you want a good spring marathon.

  3. Yes I've already signed up for Utrecht, I'm doing a half. I'm never going to run a full marathon, have no desire to do that.

We live close then, I live in Bunschoten.

Funny how this blogworld works how you find someone who lives close to you through surfing the net.
