65 minutes ahead of schedule now. This month was specially memorable for the Running Bath hill-training week.
It was also the month I said goodbye to the Green Jewels. The minimalist running shoes I've been wearing most often of all my shoes since I bought them in februari. They were almost
worn through the soles and I thought that after they'd carried me up and down the hills of Bath for a week that this was a good place to end their running career. I saved the green elastic laces.

Grey Start

Start 7.15
Got out to the Soesterduin in a colourless damp morning. I can feel the vague beginnings of a sore throat so wanted to get some running time in before a possible real cold hits me and knocks back my end of month total. I'm now necking hot blackcurrant and honey drinks and hoping the symptoms don't develop any further, specially as I've just realised that the Eindhoven Marathon is Next Weekend...

Lots of lovely hilly running in Bath (and getting lost a fair bit) meant I easily got the time in this week.

Running Bath
Serious Hill Running...
Photos and so on once I get home, but just logging in now while I wait for us to be able to check in for the flight home tomorrow. Have run every morning except for yesterday when I went in the early evening. LOTS of steep hills in the town. Also bought some compression socks in a shop (which I stole the title of this blog entry from). They feel great and got me through a long day yesterday including more than 2 hours of Austenesque dancing, followed by a long (I got lost) hilly run + the usual touristy meanderings about the streets of Bath in search of Sally Lunn buns and the famous Bizarre Bath tour in the evening.
